Salers

A mountain, rustic breed originally from the Massif Central in France, Salers are unusually hardy. Their thick chestnut coat protects them
even in extremely harsh climates. Salers are primarily raised for the rich color, extensive marbling and intense flavor of their meat.
They are also prized for their longevity, high fertility, easy calving and maternal qualities, which make them ideal both for pure and crossbreeding.
